“Alpha” is the new film by the French director and screenwriter Julia Ducournauwhom we know from the successful “Titan” and “Raw”two of the most impressive films of recent years. After inaugurating the recent edition of the Sitges International Film Festival, “Alpha” arrives this Friday on our screens

The film tells about a troubled thirteen-year-old girl who lives with her single mother. His world will collapse the day he returns from school with a tattoo on his arm. It stars Tahar Rahim (“The Mauritanian”, “A prophet”), Golshifteh Farahani (“A couch in Tunisia”, “Paterson”), Melissa Boros (“The Silence of Sibel”), Emma Mackey (“Barbie”, “Sex Education”) and Finnegan Oldfield (“Vermin: The Plague”, “The Rebel Empress”).

The director once again challenges viewers to immerse themselves in a “visual and sensory experience to decipher all the hidden keys of a story full of surprises and mirages.” And the best thing is that the film has a soundtrack full of great songs like “Roads” by Portishead“Let It Happen” by Tame Impala or “The Mercy Seat” by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. It is precisely the music of the latter that accompanies this preview clip of the film that we share today on our website.
