The former member of the Ikettes of Ike & Tina Turner is the new confirmation of the 35th anniversary of the Leonese festival. The vocalist will perform on December 7 and will present an exclusive set for the occasion.
The festival Purple Weekend Estrella Galicia continues to shape the lineup for what will be its 35th anniversary. The latest addition is the American singer PP Arnoldwho will be performing in León in what will be a unique concert for the occasion. The artist, who throughout her career was part of The Ike & Tina Revue and went on tour with The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart either Eric Clapton Among many others, he will take to the stage at Espacio Vías on December 7th, and he will do so to perform exclusively “The First Lady of Immediate” and “Kafunta”their first two albums from 1968. They thus join previous confirmations of, among others, The Lemon Twigs, Bad Nerves, Fuzztones, Doctor Explosion and Alcalá Norte.
This performance is included in the 35th anniversary pass, while individual tickets, as well as the pass for Saturday 7th at Espacio Vías, will go on sale soon. The 35th anniversary pass costs 100 euros, and includes access to all the concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Espacio Joven Vñias and at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones, as well as to the rest of the parallel activities that will be held during the festival. Early Bird passes are also available at a cost of 65 euros, which include access to the concerts on Friday and Saturday at the Palacio de Exposiciones and to the rest of the activities.
