Portugal, The Man The single “Denali” premiered a few weeks ago, a theme that pays tribute to the highest mountain in North America. Now they share a double single that serves as an advance of what will be their new album.
“Denali” arrived after the publication this summer of his EP surprise “Ulu Selects Vol. #2”a four -song work. From his jump to fame with the album “Woodstock “ (17) And the international success of “Feel It Still”, his music has been mutating and taking diverse paths. Now we can listen to two new compositions, “Tanana” and “Mush”, which serve as advance of what will be their next long duration, “Shish out”.
“Shish out” You will see the light Next November 7 by the hand of Knik/Thirty Tigersand will discover new faces of the project led by John Gourley From Porland.
These new songs tell us about wildlife, about rural life with all its advantages and also with all its dangers, especially these, with a layer of sadness and misunderstanding against the world in which we are currently living.
Let us also remember that Portugal. The Man have managed to combine their artistic projection with a strong social commitment. Through initiatives such as Pass The Mic Foundation o Campaigns in favor of indigenous health and environmental justice, the group supports different activist movements. They are also involved in organizations such as National Coalition Against Censorship – continues censorship -, The Skatepark Project – skate parties for small communities -, March for Our Lives – favor of weapons control in the United States -, Keep Oregon Well –Salud Mental– or Protect Our Winters – Lucan against climate change – among others.
