Pixies announce only date in Spain: Granada

Pixies will offer a single concert in our country in 2025. It will be on May 9 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Granada, a concert in which, in addition to reviewing the anthems of their almost 40-year career, the group will come to present ‘The Night The Zombies Came’, a new work that will be published on October 25, in time for Halloween.

Tickets for the concert in Granada go on sale on September 20 at 10 am at the usual points of sale. A pre-sale will be available on September 18 at 10 am and another pre-sale on September 19 at 10 am. The price is 40 euros + fees.

In 2024, Pixies celebrate important milestones in their career. It’s been 35 years since the release of ‘Doolittle’, their iconic 1989 album, and now the band is releasing their tenth studio work, which will consist of 13 songs. In the words of the press release, ‘The Night The Zombies Came’ is a “cinematic work that mixes gothic elements, low-budget science fiction, horror and westerns in the style of Ennio Morricone.” The singles ‘You’re So Impatient’, ‘Chicken’, ‘Oyster Beds’ and ‘Motoroller’ are already known from its tracklist.

A significant change to the Pixies line-up is the addition of Band of Skulls bassist Emma Richardson, who brings a new sound to the group. She replaces Paz Lenchantin, who announced her departure from the band last March.

Pixies’ latest album, ‘Doggerel’, was released in 2022.
