The Huesca festival Southern Pyrenees has added new confirmations to its poster, among which is the tribute to “The Legend of Time” Shrimp, Melendi, Israel Fernandez, The Drugs, Estrella Morente and Chucho Valdes.

They also join the International Festival of Cultures Tarque & The Riff Association, Lin Cortés, Yadam and Goxua'n Salsa. Pirineos Sur 2024 will start on Thursday the 4th with a night dedicated to flamenco, in which past and present will go hand in hand to certify the immortality of the genre. The day will open with the tribute to Camarón and will close with Estrella Morente. The duende will continue at the foot of the Foratata mountain that same weekend. On Saturday the 6th, Israel Fernández and Lin Cortés will perform. The singer arrives in Pirineos Sur to take a tour of his discography. For his part, Lin Cortés will bring his fusion of styles and spearhead of new flamenco.

On Wednesday, July 17, one of the most popular artists in Spain, who is on his way to reaching the same rank on the other side of the Atlantic, will premiere in the South Pyrenees: Melendi. On the other hand, rock will be the protagonist of the day on Thursday the 18th, with Tarque & La Asociación del Riff, a sample of classic rock from the seventies that Carlos Tarque dominates with his voice and charisma. Rounding out the night will be El Drogas, Enrique Villarreal's pseudonym, who will give free rein to his current compositions and a lifetime dedicated to music.

Yadam, a young promise of new pop, has joined the program on Tuesday the 23rd, the night Ricky Martin will perform. Thursday, July 25, will be one of those nights with a genuine Southern Pyrenees flavor, in which styles and cultures merge. The Colombian-Navarrean group Goxua'n Salsa has published its first album this year, in which great versions of other genres and their own songs in Basque and Spanish sound in the key of classic salsa. And this second preview of the poster closes with another figure who will pay tribute to the band Irakere: Chucho Valdés & Irakere 50 is a tribute by the renowned pianist to the Cuban band that marked a before and after in Latin jazz.
