This Sunday, regional elections will be held in Aragon, according to polls marked by a strong advance of the extreme right. To the left of the PSOE, 3 of the parties that came to join Sumar (CHA, IU, Podemos) present themselves separately, with few options according to the surveys, especially in the two smallest provinces, especially Teruel. Jorge Pueyo (CHA) is the one who has stood out the most in the campaign, with viral videos with millions of views like this one.
Pilar Alegría, PSOE candidate and former Minister of Education, has done the rest visiting hospitals, fire stations, towns in emptied Spain, bars, pastry shops, senior centers… and also concert halls. If at times the music she has shared was surprising, from Lady Gaga to Capital Cities to El y Ella dj’s – especially to those who have not noticed that she is a JENESAISPOP follower on Instagram – last night she uploaded images of live music.
At a Socialist Youth event held this Thursday, which appropriated the meme “I’ve been PSOED”, Alegría shared images of two concerts by local artists: the rapper Kond3 and the Zaragoza artist Lu Demie, which we recommended a few years ago. According to the poster, Valdivia and Las Macedonias were also at the event.
In 2025, Lu Demie published an interesting debut called ‘LA CALLEJA’, with visible influences from Rosalía, Judeline and The xx. Topics such as ‘Seeking refuge’ stood out.
On the other side of the coin, Jorge Azcón, favorite in the polls for the Popular Party, closes the campaign this Friday with Feijóo, the far-right agitator Vito Quiles and a performance by Los Meconios. The duo, who performed at a VOX rally in 2022, speak in their lyrics of “going back to ’36” and have been accused of advocating Francoism, homophobia, racism and trivializing the Civil War.
