The legendary band from Bizkaia PI LT releases the first preview single of his new work.
The Bizkaia quartet presents their new single, “Animalia otzanak”, recorded, mixed and mastered by Xanpe between March and April 2026 in Mungia. Rafa Rueda’s pop sensibility, in contrast to his powerful riffs, and the marked melodies created by Aitor Abio on the keyboards, stand out in this first appetizer of his new album.
Regarding the message of “Animalia Otzanak” they point out that “it is a profound criticism of the lethargy of society and power relations. A pessimistic but at the same time awakening message, which shows how the human being, lost in his comfort zone, has become a “tame animal” that allows itself to be controlled.”
The project ΠLT (or PiLT) was born in the early nineties, more specifically in 1992, in Mungia and was formed by Rafa Rueda (guitar, voice), Txarli Solano (bass), Aitor Abio (keyboards, voice) and Xanpe (Drums). The band began to emerge after winning the Euskadi Gaztea demo contest in 1995 and the subsequent publication of their first self-titled album (1996). The song “Hil da jainkoa” became a great success to this day, even managing to cross the Basque borders.
“Denbora” (1998), “3” (1999), “Minuses“(2002) already with David González (e-virus 69, Cobra, Berri Txarrak) replacing Txarli, and “game over” (2004), completed the five works in the discography of one of the most remembered metal bands in the history of the Basque music scene.
In May 2017 their return came with the first of several concerts that the band offered to review their legacy (chronicle here), and some time later, the project was promoted again until today, signing the EP in 2024 “Balak air”. Now they leave us the first preview of their new work.
