Phonogram will gather the June 16 and 17 experts and artists to discuss how AI is transforming music creation and cultural virality. It will be its fifth edition and will be held at Casa Montjuic.
Promoted by APECAT, the meeting will focus on how generative AI is transforming recorded music and modifying the operation of algorithms, platforms and recommendation systems. The main focus of this edition will be to debate who really decides what reaches the public and under what rules musical virality is built.
Among the participants, international voices such as Becky Brook, specialist in music rights and technology, stand out, along with professionals such as Thais Ruiz de Alda, José Luis Zagazeta and Gonçal Calvo. Artists and creators such as Jordi Cubino, Zahara and Queralt Lahoz.
The programming will include presentations on ethics and artificial intelligence, round tables on musical creation and spaces dedicated to analyzing the impact of algorithms on contemporary culture.
In addition, Fongrama will recognize the trajectory of BMAT this year and will close its programming with Fongrama Ciutat, a day focused on the relationship between technology, authorship and creativity.
In a context where automation gains prominence, Fongrama proposes a key question: who decides today what goes viral.
