Pharrell Williams has always been about trying different things. This time, he has scrapped the typical artist biopics to make one with LEGO animation where anything goes. 'PIECE BY PIECE' will be released in theaters in the United States on October 11.
Directed by Morgan Neville, the film will tell Pharrell's story as a musician and innovator, as well as including some previously unreleased songs. Williams teased the film earlier this year: “Who would have thought that playing with LEGO when I was little would end up being a movie about my life. It is proof that you can do it too,” the singer, composer and producer wrote on social media.
Important personalities from Pharrell's circle also feature in the film, such as Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg. Everyone will voice the character, as well as have their own LEGO avatar.
