Argentina Juana Molina has announced that her new album is called ‘Doga’ and leaves shortly, on November 5. The album is accompanied by this beautiful cover, while the single, ‘naps there’, of polysemic title, would say that it is rather cat.
This is Juana Molina’s first album since 2017. The ‘Doga’ party point were a series of improvisation concerts with the keyboardist Odín Schwartz in 2019. The idea was to play “as if they were home,” synthesizers and sequencing. The shows were unique, but then Molina resumed some of the ideas that had come out, along with producer Emilio Haro. That other work was done between 2022 and 2024.
This will be the sequence of the album, with titles as illustrative as ‘one is a tree’:
