After adopting the role of “corporate diva” in “Too Bright” (14), a dandy in “No Shape” (18) and an aesthetic inspired by Tom Of Finland for “Set My Heart On Fire Immediately” (20), the musician now embraces an aesthetic that moves between rural America and the world of bikers. “Glory” will be published on March 28 by the hand of Matador Records.
In the video clip she appears wearing a leather jacket, high-heeled boots and a corset, while drinking gasoline and riding a Harley. The piece plays with fetishism within queerness while challenging the limits of traditional machismo. But at the same time it presents a more American sound, which moves between acoustic, folk and even country. Hence it once again has the production of Blake Mills
