Hilton was doing a livestream when several viewers notified emergency services when they saw that she was self-harming. The police went to his house, where they found him alone and with significant blood loss. Now he remains admitted under Florida’s so-called Baker Act, intended for people going through a mental health crisis.
TikTok claims that it detected the live stream and passed it on to its moderation team, but an error caused them to take a while to remove it. The platform says that it notified the police and that it closed other subsequent channels, in addition to blocking the account. At the moment, no other measures have been taken related to what happened.
