The psychedelic pop duo MGMT has shared the video for her song “People In The Streets”, one of the pieces included in her album this year “Loss Of Life”. Now available on all platforms.
The music video for “People In The Streets” was directed by Christina Marie Karr and combines everyday and personal objects with archival material to create landscapes of “domestic psychedelia.” As we said, the song is part of the duo’s most recent album, the fifth, produced by MGMT next to Patrick Wimberly (Solange, Lil Yachty, Joji) and mixed by, like most of the band’s references, Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, Spoon). They also participate as additional producers James Richardson, Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never) and Brian Burtonbetter known as Danger Mouse.
“Loss Of Life” was released earlier this year and was MGMT’s first release on the Mom + Pop label. The album contains ten songs, the fourth of which is this “People In The Streets”, and a collaboration with Christine And The Queens on “Dancing In Babylon”. Let us remember that this is the fifth full-length of Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser under the name MGMT.
