The Barcelona garage punk trio Hostia Pedagógica rounds off today with a double single, the one made up of “Abajo con el Trabajo” and this new “Vendo Manual”, which they have just released. Together they make up a double single that the band also releases in physical format and which, as they themselves indicate, is a “seven-inch without filler songs.”
Theirs is immediacy, urgency and a compact sound between garage and punk rock, with sharp shapes, but loaded with humor and irony. In this case it is a satire against the current culture of self-help that floods bookstores, social networks and neighborhoods.
The group will be presenting these and more songs today at Barcelona (October 24, Sala Laut), tomorrow in Granollers (October 25, Fusiònica Festival) and later in Madrid (November 6, Wurlitzer Ballroom; within the Mazo cycle).
