Between today, Friday, August 28, and Sunday, August 30, a new edition of Cosquín Rock will be held in Valladolid. This afternoon it will open its doors at the Pingüinos Arena venue, with common pop-rock names such as the unstoppable Ultraligera or M-Clan.
The peculiarity is that there are also names that are not focused on rock at all and that also come from other borders. Compared to other festivals already 100% focused on national pop, Cosquín Rock is committed to bringing diverse international names. This will be the case of the “yes rockers” Kaiser Chiefs, who are scheduled to leave today, Friday.
But the most striking case will be that of Paul Kalkbrenner this Saturday, August 29. Last year, the legendary German artist published the recommendable album called ‘THE ESSENCE’, whose guests included none other than Depeche Mode (in an adaptation of ‘DREAM ON’) and Stromae. In this case, Kalkbrenner will do a live show – it is emphasized that he is not a DJ – that will “deconstruct and reinvent the show in real time.”
On the same Saturday, Claptone, Dmasso, Imbermind and Kinder Lomas will perform, as well as Lola Bozzano.
Finally, Cosquín Rock reports on access in Valladolid: bus lines 18 and 19 will connect the city with Pingüinos Arena. Today, Friday the 28th and tomorrow, Saturday the 29th, they will have a frequency of 30 minutes, while on Sunday the 30th they will circulate every 60 minutes. In addition, there will be a shuttle line between Plaza de Poniente and Cosquín Rock, which will operate today, Friday and tomorrow, Saturday, from 7:45 p.m. and Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. From Cosquín Rock there will be return service during each day and until the end of the event. Attendees who choose to travel by private vehicle will also have a large parking space in the vicinity of Pingüinos Arena.
