Paige Tomlinson’s house party this weekend at Razz

Paige Tomlinson is one of the most promising electronic dance artists to come from Liverpool. With her danceable sets inspired by 90s house, as she has admitted, Tomlinson has turned Glastonbury and Hide & Seek upside down and has also played at renowned venues such as London’s Printworks and Barcelona’s La Terrazza. The prestigious Manchester label Dansu Discs was quick to set its sights on her and added her to its catalogue.

Tomlinson’s productions aim for the immediacy of the most festive piano house of the 90s, and both ‘Butt Bumpin’ and ‘Get Funky, Get Down’ sound like classics of the era. Robin S.’s ‘Show Me Love’ or Livin’ Joy’s ‘Don’t Stop Movin’ may have inspired Tomlinson, although she cites RM project, Direct 2 Disc, X-Press 2 or Klubbheads & Bass Bumpers as her influences. In any case, it is absolutely impossible to stay still with her songs.

As well as producing dancefloor hits like ‘Floor Burn’ and ‘Rocked It,’ Tomlinson is known for mixing electro, techno and breakbeat in her sets, just in case there was any doubt that she’s British. If you’re in Barcelona this weekend, you’ll have the chance to check it out by attending Tomlinson’s set confirmed for this Saturday, August 17 at La 1 de la Razzmatazz in Barcelona. Tickets are still available.
