OneRepublic put on a memorable performance at the Euro Cup

At the Euro Cup, which was held last night with Spain’s 4th victory, being the country that has won it the most times historically, we do not have an intermission. But there was a pre-match performance.

The gorgeous and renowned composer Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic performed the official theme song of the competition, ‘Fire’, accompanied by Leony, a local artist from the host country, Germany, and Meduza. Between some production errors, that family-friendly Grand Prix-style atmosphere, the song itself, and all that light – seriously, all that light – it was not a performance to remember.

Although if we talk about football anthems, we have to mention the growth of ‘Potra salvaje’ in recent weeks. Isabel Aaiún’s song had already gone viral months ago, but in recent weeks it has skyrocketed and is already in the top 3 on Spotify Spain. With 21 million streams on this platform, it will soon surpass the 24 of OneRepublic’s ‘Fire’.
