The Swedish producer Olof Dreijerknown for his work in The Knifehas announced his debut solo album, “Loud Bloom”and has shared a new double single consisting of “Plastic Camelia” and “Laurel”.
This release marks a new step in his career after several years publishing EP’s on labels such as Hessle Audio, AD93 or Dekmantel, in addition to signing remixes for artists such as Björk or Rosalía.
The double single shows two very different sides of the album. On the one hand, “Plastic Camelia” reimagines one of their recent songs with a more energetic and dance floor-oriented production. On the other hand, “Laurel” opts for a more introspective atmosphere, with ambient synthesizers and a more experimental approach.
According to Dreijer himself, the album is born from a stage in which he has recovered the pleasure of creating music without restrictions. “Loud Bloom” It will combine new cuts with revisions of previous works, seeking to move away from the ephemeral logic of club music to build songs with a greater emotional journey.
The album also stands out for its collaborative and diverse approach, with participations from international artists who provide different cultural and sonic perspectives. All of this is part of a proposal that mixes dance electronics with experimental elements and pop sensibility.
To accompany the launch, Dreijer has announced several special dates in cities such as Paris, Berlin and New York, as well as performances at festivals such as Primavera Sound.
With “Loud Bloom”Olof Dreijer begins a new solo stage in which he combines sound exploration, artistic commitment and a clear intention to reinvent the codes of current electronic music.
