Chill Guys have published ‘Le Chill 2’ this December. This new album is the second part of his successful ‘Le Chill’, the 2020 album – released in the middle of Christmas, it’s a habit – which included very successful collaborations with Rusowsky and Natalia Lacunza. Ralphie Choo and Dani Dicostas were also there.
‘Le Chill 2’ is a varied album with songs more inclined towards R&B and urban (‘NO SÉ SI SBES’), the dance floor (‘UN GRAMO DE TU AMOR’), pop-rock (‘NO SALES’ DE MI CABEZA’ with Daniel Sabater), and others that have both a touch of reggaeton and Spanish (‘CHULA’). They are presenting it today, Thursday, December 12, in Room B in Madrid as part of Vibra Mahou’s Madrid Stages programming.
Between collaborations with the punch of KICKBOMBO (‘SUPERFUERTES’) or Sebastián Cortés (‘DE VUELTA EN LA CIUDAD’), it is worth highlighting how well the collaborations with girls look. The counterpoint provided by the voices of Rorro (this humming), Yarea or Gala Nell.
The previews of this album even go back to 2022. In 2023 ‘DE CORAZÓN’ with Yarea was published, an initially acoustic song about a boy who doesn’t know how to feel better, in the absence of his girl. Yarea talks about someone who left the party too soon. “I love you a lot” and “I’m very sorry” reveal their explicit chorus before the song takes off into a more electronic environment.
And this 2024, ‘NUNCA ES LATE’ was published, which we selected today as Song of the Day. The song begins acoustically, talking about someone who “has been a long time without getting excited.” Gala Nell laments that “she comes home and you are not here”, she assures that “the flowers you had to take care of have died.”
Speaking of “fucking drunks”, ‘IT’S NEVER LATE’ defends that “it’s never too late to come back.” With the traditional and melodic punch of Spanish boy-girl duos like Ubago-Montero, it could become a hit if performed in Operación Triunfo 2025.
