Nocturama, the Seville festival, which for 20 years has brought the avant-garde to the Andalusian capital, celebrates its 20th edition this year, which will, in turn, be the last. The festival says it is handing over the baton to “new leadership.”
Nocturama will celebrate its final edition from December 5 to 9, in addition, adding two new spaces to the Malandar room and the Alameda Theater, these are the Cite Cartuja Center Room and La2. Tickets are available on the festival website.
Sr. Chinarro, Guadalupe Plata, Rocío Guzmán and Israel Fernández are among those confirmed for the latest edition of Nocturama that Seville will see, which will also feature Frente Abierto, Ruido Clavel, Ana Chufa, Julia de Arco and the revelation artist Lela Soto.
The 2024 Nocturama programming is completed with two parallel activities. On the one hand, during the month of December you can visit a retrospective exhibition of all the posters that have given Nocturama its image, with works by Manuel León, at the Santa Clara Space of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Seville (ICAS). On the other hand, on Sunday, December 8, at 12:00 p.m., in the friendly space of the La Fuga Bookstore, ‘A formidable short circuit’ will be presented. From the Kinks to Merzbow: a continuum of noise’, an essay about noise in popular music, written by cultural journalist Oriol Rosell.
