Niña Pastori achieves a viral on TikTok, almost a cappella

In what is the last official list of 2024 and at the same time the first of 2025, ‘Capaz (merengueton)’ by Venezuelans Yorghaki and Alleh maintains the number 1 most popular songs in Spain. Karol G returns to number 2 with ‘If I Had Known You Before’ despite being no less than 8 times platinum, and that was before Belén Esteban and Lalachús sang it last night in ‘La Revuelta’. ‘Gran Vía’ by Quevedo and Aitana drops to 3rd place.

The most important movement of the week is the rise from position 39 to position 8 of ‘Mi Refe’ by Colombian Beéle and Ovy on the Drums, the latter a regular producer of Karol G. It is the strongest rise of these days and even figures above on the list the entry of ‘Pitorro de coco’ by Bad Bunny at number 11. We will see what happens next week after the release of Benito’s new album, ‘I should have thrown more photos’. But with a quick look at Spotify, it’s clear that the two preview singles from this Bad Bunny album aren’t going to be the most popular this time around.

The new Bizarrap also enters, this time with Luck Ra, at number 25; and Myke Towers with Eladio Carrion at number 50 with ‘What do you want from me?’. However, the most striking thing is the arrival at number 57 of a song by Niña Pastori. It is a breaking Christmas viral with its trend on TikTok, ‘Palillos y tambourines’.

It is very strange to see Niña Pastori on the list of the most popular singles in the country, and even more so with a Christmas carol just when Christmas songs have already largely disappeared from the top 100, or are about to do so (‘El burrito sabanero’ drops from the 9 to 39, to give an example). ‘Palillos y tambourines’, sung almost entirely a cappella, in a choral style (only a few tambourines are identified), can last a few more weeks, since right now it is still around the top 100 on Spotify, but it is difficult for it to last a third week . To do this, someone would have to want to listen to a Christmas carol on January 15th. Even so, quite a merit for an artist on the path of Niña Pastori. The album that contains ‘Palillos y panderos’, ‘Feliz Navidad’, drops this week to position 68, in its 8th week of life, after having reached number 26. For more information, this a capella song is the one that closes the album .

The list of entries is completed with ‘Los depuro’ by Myke Towers at number 72, the wonderful ‘Messy’ by Lola Young at number 76 and ‘Every Breath You Take’ by The Police at number 98, truly a re- entry in Spain, since it was already a hit here back in 1983. It reached the top 2 in these parts.
