Just when the public is tasting Ethel Cain’s new album, Lana del Rey has decided to start a Beef with the author of ‘American Teenager’. Lana wants to return it to Ethel after, supposedly, Cain made fun of her years ago recreating the famous 2022 image in which Lana posed standing with Jack Donaghue, vocalist of the Witch-House Salem band and her then partner, in front of a penitentiary center.
In a very similar later photo, equally taken in general, Ethel appeared posing with Donaghue from a bridge, in front of a mountainous landscape. It is worth mentioning that there is no record that Ethel and Jack have maintained a romantic relationship.
Lana has decided to resume the matter in a song entitled ‘All About Ethel’, in which she mentions the artist directly by her name: “Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post, and believes that it is Guay to recreate my pose in Chicago.” The singer has published a video from the car making the song and has revealed that it will be track 13 of her next album. Of course, the title of ‘All About Ethel’ evokes that of ‘All About Eve’, the film known in Spain for the title of ‘Eva naked’, about a young admirer who proposes to impersonate the identity of a consecrated actress.
In the same letter, Lana refers to another episode, this time of 2023, when she disguised as a waitress in a classic American gofres cafeteria. It seems that this gesture was also an indirect for Ethel Cain. The matter has taken an unexpected turn when Ethel Cain has revealed that Lana del Rey has “blocked” on Instagram.
