In the midst of the crisis due to the mass deportations of ICE and the fatal shootings of federal agents who killed Renée Good and Alex Pretti in the street, plus those that occurred behind closed doors, Nicki Minaj has once again reaffirmed her admiration for Donald Trump, of whom she has declared herself her “number 1 fan” during an event held this Wednesday, January 28 in Washington DC
During a summit organized by the United States Department of the Treasury, dedicated to the presentation of a new investment program for children, Nicki Minaj and Donald Trump met in person for the first time. There, they have praised each other.
Trump appeared first to explain the new child investment program and introduced Nicki Minaj, calling her the “most successful rapper of all time.” He has also joked that the million-dollar figure that will be invested in the program “is even bigger than what a rapper can make.”
When Nicki got on stage, she did not skimp on praise for the American president and challenged her critics, alluding to an alleged “smear campaign” against the president. “I’m probably the president’s number one fan, and that’s not going to change,” the rapper declared, while Trump watched her from behind. «What people have to say doesn’t affect me at all. In fact, it motivates me to support him even more. And it will motivate us all to support it more. Then, he added: «We are not going to allow them to get away with intimidating him. And you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. “He has a lot of strength behind him and God is protecting him.”
This is not the first time Nicki Minaj has publicly expressed her support for Donald Trump. In recent months, the author of ‘Super Bass’ has praised the Republican administration on several occasions and has participated in events of conservative ideology, such as the Turning Point USA held in Arizona last December.
During her high-profile meeting with Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, the far-right activist murdered in September, Minaj surprised by adopting a transphobic discourse, mocked the left, called Trump “handsome” and praised the work of JD Vance, vice president of the United States, although she used the worst possible word to describe him, “murderer”, using slang associated with hip-hop.
