Nick Cave “smiles” with the 'Frogs' orchestra

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds release new album on August 30. The first preview of 'Wild God', the title track, has been known for a few months. Tonight the second one arrived, which receives the title 'Frogs'.

What stands out in 'Frogs' is its orchestral instrumentation, dominated by “exuberant strings”, in the words of Nick Cave. This sound makes Cave “smile.”

In 'Frogs', Nick Cave pairs its beautiful packaging with lyrics full of biblical references. He evokes Cain and Abel, a “Sunday morning” or a rejuvenating water. It contains images of guns and violence, and others of “children in heaven” and “love.” Even country singer Kris Kristofferson appears in his imagination, for some reason.

We remind you that Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds will present 'Wild God' in Spain in 2024. The tour will arrive in Spain on October 24 at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona and will continue on October 25 at the WiZink Center in Madrid, and will leave the peninsula only after performing on October 27 at the MEO Arena in Lisbon. The Murder Capital will be the guest group on all three dates.
