New Orleans music arrives with Holanola Lab-Fest

Madrid, Santiago de Compostela and Ourense will be the cities that will host the traveling festival that features performances by musicians from the American city of New Orleans.

Holanola Lab-Fest is a traveling festival in which musicians from New Orleans come together in an artistic laboratory, in order to exchange their works and their viral experiences with artists and cultural agents from Spain. The festival, which this year celebrates its third edition, will make a stop in Santiago de Compostela, Ourense and Madrid between 17 and 28 September. Its programme will include a multitude of events, including concerts, talks and meetings.

As far as Galicia is concerned, the appointments in Santiago de Compostela will take place From September 17th to 22ndwhere one of the most outstanding performances of the festival will take place with Sabine McCalla, Duff Thompson and Max Bien Kahn as protagonists on September 20th at the Sala Capitol. The Galician capital will also be visited by Silver Lining Serenades, Kiki Cabazos & Pajaro Sunrise (in the photo) or Sam Doores & Casey Jane.

On the 25th and 26th the performances of the HOLANOLA Fest Band in Oursense, a group from the festival that invites the public to experience a party in the form of a jam session where experimentation and improvisation will prevail, but also the interpretation of classic patterns from the other side of the Atlantic.

• Friday 21 – Sala Riquela (Santiago de Compostela) – Sam Doores & Casey Jane + Julian Maeso Sextet
• Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th – Café Torgal (Oursense) – HOLANOLA Fest Band
