Naiara has been one of the last guests of ‘Ex. Life after’, as was Blas Cantó a few weeks ago, and has clarified his reasons for canceling his tour last year.
At the time, the winner of OT 2023 did not make an official statement about the cancellation of the tour she had planned, but she did address her fans through her WhatsApp channel, claiming to be “something I have been working and fighting for for a long time”: “There are things that come like that,” she concluded.
Now, when asked by Ana Milan, Naiara explained that she had to cancel it because she had no “recourse”: “I was not in favor of that tour being done because I didn’t have my album finished.” The presenter then asked her if she had chosen to be true to herself: “I chose to be true to the fact that I don’t have my project finished and I can’t go to one of my concerts without the project done.”
She also spoke about her absence from OT’s performance at the Paris Olympic Games, explaining that it was not that she didn’t want to, but that “it doesn’t represent me”: “I said I wasn’t going, that I was going to the festivals in my town to see my orchestra with my litron of calimocho in my hand, because it was something that came up without asking if we wanted to do it.” The consequences, on the other hand, were reduced to “some other article”: “Let everyone interpret it as they want.”

Last week, Naiara also released the single ‘Celos’, co-written with Alba Morena and produced by Rico Rosa. This mixes folk music, through a sample of ‘I’m loving you madly’ by Las Grecas, with contemporary urban sound. Nobody has discovered the wheel here, but it is much more interesting than his collaboration with Natos and Waor, which was too harmless.
In this one, Naiara curses herself for being jealous of absolutely everything: “of the flowers you put in my hair,” “of the mirror you look at yourself,” “of the reflection,” “of the air you breathe” and even “of the wind.” These are going to finish her off: “Jealousy kills me and I’m going to die from jealousy.”
