Bakar is a singer known especially for a neo-soul hit called ‘Hell N Back’ that originally came out in 2019 and then renewed with guest artist. The theme has triumphed with and without the collaboration of Summer Walker: it has 700 million streams in Spotify without featuring and 300 with featuring. The so -called “Remix” got with shoeler as a bonus in which it was Bakar’s last album so far, ‘Halo’.
Now the artist has undertaken a new campaign. The first appetizer that has been released this month is ‘Lonyo!’, Our song of the day today.
Lonyo was a UK Garage DJ of the 2000s, also a singer and actor, who had a couple of top 40’s in the United Kingdom, but that remained quite forgotten. ‘Garage Girls’, his most heard theme today, reached number 39, and ‘Summer of Love’, his great hit at that time, to Top 8.
In that song published in 2000 there was a phrase in Spanish that dazzled on a Latin rhythm: “My only desire is not to think about you again.” Bakar dispenses with the Latin point of Beat but does use that phrase as leit motiv of his new recording, adding his own concerns above.
And these are not others to forget everything that could have happened to enjoy that “summer of love” that the original song titled. Bakar appeals to the same idea again and again while declare his unconditional love: “I want you to know that my heart and soul are for you, and that I will do everything you want.”
