The Barcelona supergroup My captain announce a new cycle of four concerts in the Laut Room of Barcelona for this year and four more for 2025.
It seems increasingly that concerts in venues are more precarious and complicated for bands. They are especially so for smaller bands, even for medium-sized ones if they are not very high-profile. This is how the group Mi Capitán denounces it, a kind of superband made up of members of other groups such as Love Of Lesbian, Egon Soda, Stanstill and Sidonie.
My Captain wants to have the opportunity to show the world everything composed during the life of the band. After the publication of “Like thieves surprised“(23), the third album by Mi Capitán, which they have not yet been able to present as they would like. From this feeling of helplessness are born the “Sundays at boarding”. These spaces seek to be much more than a place for reunions between bands. They want to establish themselves as a protest action and a future project for emerging bands that do not have access to a stage.
The band has organized four concerts on four different Sundays at the Laut hall in Barcelona. The first will be celebrated next 28th of April and will have as a guest the brutal Myriam Swanson (Flamingo Tours, Magnolia). After the show, Juligan –Julián Saldarriaga of Love Of Lesbian– In his DJ sessions, he will offer a rock session to end the week in the best way.
