Designed to become the Perfect complement from the sensational stereo preamplifier Nu-Vista PRE in order to configure a music playback system of absolute referenceNu-Vista PAS stereo and Nu-Vista PAM mono power stages, both with separate power supplyconsolidate the qualitative and quantitative leap made by the Musical Fidelity elite in preamplification and amplification as a consequence of the addition of a fully balanced circuit topology. The starting point of this jump is the sophisticated circuit used in the Nu-Vista 800 model, which now becomes 100% symmetrical, in combination with the widely contrasted Nu-Vista stage exclusive to the British firm, which features a Class A polarized separator amplifier equipped with individually selected and tested 6S51N nuvistors.
To this we must add a exit section with a total of 10 thermally compensated high-power transistors to ensure stable and reliable operation. Based on the 1,000-watt output stage of the impressive Titan model, the aforementioned section includes separate capacitors for the bulk power supply and one destined for each of the output devices, a strategy that allows decrease output impedance and improve dynamics. The new Musical Fidelity power stages have also been added choke coils in order to minimize both power supply ripple and current peaks. Regarding the critical polarization of the power amplification devices, it has been set to Class A for the first 5 watts and then switched to Class B.
Moving on to power supplies of the Nu-Vista PAS the Nu-Vista PAM, named Nu-Vista PAS PSU and Nu-Vista PAM PSU respectively, it should be noted that they are mounted in a robust metal enclosure matching that of the main block in order to minimize noise. In addition to the power circuitry itself, the aforementioned block incorporates filter networks for both the incoming and outgoing signal. Thanks to this design, it is achieved further reduce the silence level of the different power supply lines, the result being the virtual artifact removal present in the electrical network that may affect the sensitive audio circuitry. Both the Nu-Vista PAS PSU and the Nu-Vista PAM PSU include only activation and standby LEDs on their front panel, as well as a disconnect switch on their rear panel.
