Music generated by AI already exceeds 50% of the new songs that Deezer receives

More than half of the songs uploaded to Deezer every day have already been created entirely with artificial intelligence.

The platform has revealed that, during the month of June, it received an average of 90,000 AI-generated topics per day, a figure that represents more than 50% of all new additions to its catalog for the first time.

The data represents a new leap compared to the records shared by the company just a few months ago. In September 2025, AI-created music accounted for 28% of daily uploads; In April of this year it had reached 44%, and now it already exceeds half of the total. Even so, Deezer assures that this type of content barely accounts for between 1% and 3% of listening on the platform.

Given this growth, the company has announced new measures to combat fraud associated with this type of content. In addition to labeling AI-generated music and excluding it from algorithmic recommendations and editorial lists, Deezer will systematically remove AI-generated songs that are used to manipulate plays or that go six months without receiving any listens.

According to data from the platform itself, up to 85% of song plays generated entirely by AI detected in 2025 were related to fraudulent practices aimed at obtaining streaming income.
