Muse have released their new single “Hexagons”, a song that will be part of their next album, “The Wow! Signal”planned for June 26, 2026.
The release of the song came after a campaign of global intrigue in the form of an online “treasure hunt”, in which the band hid fragments of the song in different parts of the world, including cities such as Sydney, New York, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Paris and London. Fans had to compile codes and clues until they reconstructed the complete song.
Musically, “Hexagons” recovers the band’s most classic sound, with clear references to their early works as “Origin of Symmetry” and the theatricality of “Black Holes and Revelations”. The song combines electronic passages, intense dynamic changes and Matt Bellamy’s falsetto voice, in a progressive and cinematic structure.
The song fits with the overall concept of the album, which revolves around ideas of cosmic mystery, contact with the unknown and the possibility of life beyond Earth. The album’s title is inspired by the famous “Wow! Signal”, a radio signal detected in 1977 that still remains without a definitive explanation today.
In addition to the new single, the band has announced a North American tour in 2026, with guest artists such as Bloc Party and Portugal. The Manwhile the European dates are expected soon.
