The Catalan group Mrs. Tomasa shares “Un rumbo sin destino”, the first preview of what will be their new work and another example of the musical diversity that characterizes them.
Ms. Tomasa is a restless group that constantly explores musical genres and cultural boundaries. That is why they have released songs throughout all these years that move in very different universes. And one more demonstration of what we are saying is this first preview of what will be their next album, to be published on October 11 via Guspira Records.
We are talking about “Un rumbo sin destino”, a song that combines the group’s most relaxed side with Latin American folk instrumentation to create a very special piece. Thus, we will hear marimba, roncoco and legüero drum. The music is by the group and the voice is by Pau Lobo Valls and Guadalupe Giraldo Hincapié. The marimbas were recorded in Bogotá (Panorámica Estudio) by J. Torres “Gualijo”, while the legüero drum comes from some sessions in El Palmar, Teror (Gran Canaria). As for the video clip that accompanies the song, it has been directed by Makerfly.
On the other hand, some of the dates for the presentation of the album have already been announced. The group will be passing through Málaga (November 8, Sala Trinchera), Granada (November 9, Sala Industrial Copera), Valencia (November 15, Sala Jerusalem), Madrid (November 16, Sala Paqui) and Barcelona (November 29, Sala Razzmatazz; Cruïlla Tardor).
