Mónica Naranjo was on Monday the guest of ‘La Revuelta’ by David Broncano. Much of the conversation was focused on its role in ‘The island of temptations’ and how iconic the edition of Estefanía was. But Mónica Naranjo really went to present a new single. And not any single.
‘For a like’ is a composition that Monica Naranjo has worked with Isra Dante Ramos in terms of music, and with Nebulsa and Lorenzo Giner in terms of lyrics. Production is from Nebulsa. Our song of the day today happens to its joint recording, the frustrating ‘poisonous’, which looked like a song by Gloria Trevi, Thalía or Raffaela Carrá, for some reason. ‘For a like’ is a much more accurate composition, which curiously has the Seal of Mónica Naranjo and that of Nebulsa at the same time, as ‘poisonous’ did not get.
On the one hand, we are facing the typical composition of Nebulsa, electronics and with a lot of reflections on the “what will say.” The letter portrays a rare girl who seeks approval, translated into today’s terms, “Likes”:
«Since childhood I broke before reality
That neither was Mona nor had any magnet
Neither when speaking, nor when walking
He was invisible and had to remedy it ».
On the other, the choral will of the theme is 100% ‘word of woman’, with even references to ‘desátame’, which seems to emerge at any time in the form of Mash-Up. All the recording contains the typical Rococó and recharged style of Mónica Naranjo, well applied: strings, synthesizers, voices and more voices, fantasy.
Now, this seems the best way to remember that Mónica Naranjo has a “great hits” tour to promote this fall throughout Spain. On October 11, Seville and October 18, Murcia. Already in November, on day 1 he will be in Malaga and on the 22nd, in Valencia. The Tour ends December 15 in Madrid; and December 19 in Barcelona.
