Al Jourgensen, leader of the industrial metal band Ministryhe has been talking about a last album of the group that will be published in 2026 and for which he and Paul Barker are working together. Now, before that happens, it will see the light “The Squirrely Years Revistered”an album in which they have re -recorded songs of their first two albums, very stylistically far away from what was later the band. Specifically of the albums “With sympathy” 1983, with which they debuted, and “Twitch” of 1986. Ministry stopped touching that live material just one year after having published. In those days they were far from being the hard and heavy industrial rock band that were later, and they were turning with bands like A Flock of Seagulls, Culture Club or Depeche Mode.
On the album, Jourgensen commented: “I hated my previous material for decades, but I decided to appropriate it and do it well.” “The Squirrely Years Revistered” can be heard from March 28 through Cleopatra Records.
