Miley Cyrus is in the midst of commemorating the 20th anniversary of ‘Hannah Montana’, the series that made her known with this immensely popular character during its broadcast on Disney Channel between 2006 and 2011.
The 20th anniversary of ‘Hannah Montana’ has inspired a special that can be seen starting today on Disney+, in which Miley Cyrus returns to the original set to remember her time on the series and receive several guests. He has also recreated the famous goodbye meme.
Among them is her Disney Channel colleague, Selena Gomez, who tells Cyrus that with Hannah Montana “she really made culture,” but not before recalling her own character of Mikayla, Hannah Montana’s rival, putting on a hat she wore at the time.

In addition, Cyrus has received a visit from her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, with whom she acted in the series also playing father and daughter, and with whom she has spent a few years estranged due to family disagreements. Miley and Billy have had a cordial relationship for a long time.
The ‘Hannah Montana’ special has left moments as improbable as a live performance of ‘The Best of Both Worlds’, with Cyrus dressed as Hannah Montana twenty years later. Without a doubt, enough time has passed for Cyrus to reconcile with this character from whom she tried to disassociate herself for years in various and radical ways.
In the special there have been two significant absences: those of Emily Osment, who played her best friend in ‘Hannah Montana’, and Jason Earles, who played brother Jackson. Neither of them has attended the premiere of the special in Los Angeles, where Cyrus has appeared with a look very similar to that of Hannah Montana, but elevated.
There, Cyrus has confirmed that she plans to release her own music very soon, which she is “looking forward to sharing.” At the moment, he is preparing the release of a new Hannah Montana song recorded on the occasion of the 20th anniversary: the acoustic ballad ‘Younger You’.
