Metallica pay tribute to Ministry in Chicago

On his way through Chicago, continuing with his trend of paying tribute to local artists in each of his concerts, Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett have paid tribute to one of the most important industrial metal bands of all time, Ministry.

For years, Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett, bassist and guitarist of Metallica respectively, take advantage of a few minutes of their extensive shows to pay tribute to some of the important artists of the cities in which they perform. We can remember for example when they dared to Peret in Barcelona or with Red Baron and Miguel Rios in their recent concerts, but it is quite possible that until now they would not have dared to take on a band as hard as the Ministry of Al Jourgensen.

In any case, last Sunday Trujillo and Hammett dared to take on the classic “Just One Fix” by Ministry. Typically, these are fairly spontaneous versions that both musicians usually perform with the lyrics written down so they can remember the lines and with the support of local fans. This time, Trujillo referred to Ministry as “a band that has been a big influence on us. If you’re familiar with their music, let’s do it together. And if you know the lyrics, sing along with me because I’m going to need your help, okay? Well, this is our interpretation of ‘Just One Fix’.”

As for the band being honored, Ministry have expressed their gratitude via social media for the honor of being honored by the most important hard rock band on the planet today.
