The San Sebastian band Gray Merino will present the visual spectacle full of collaborations and surprises at the Arriaga Antzokia on November 26.
ZINEBI continues to reinforce its commitment to contemporary audiovisual creation with a special concert in its next edition organized in collaboration with NOIZ Lab. The event will take place on November 26 at the Arriaga Antzokia in Bilbao and will be starred by the group from San Sebastian Gray Merinoin charge of shaping “Zuloa zen irteera”a stage proposal that will expand the visual universe built around their second album, “Zuloa”.
The show will combine audiovisual material generated by the band throughout its career with new pieces created live. The intention is to integrate the sound power of the San Sebastian trio with its aesthetic identity to offer an immersive experience, conceived as a symbolic refuge and a space of light in the midst of darkness. The concert will also feature the participation of different guest artists and several surprise interventions.
With “Zuloa”, Gray Merino It has been consolidated within a scene that has been calling for new forms of creation for some time, based on reflection and the centrality of emotions. This second work presents an unpredictable mix of electronic and punk where emotions and genres intertwine. Released at the beginning of the year, the album has led the group to perform both in venues in the Basque Country and in some of the most relevant venues on the state circuit, including Sala El Sol or Paral·lel 62. The tour has also passed through countries such as Sweden, Serbia and the Netherlands, as well as international festivals such as Bilbao BBK Live, Primavera Sound and Mad Cool.
His recent collaborations include ‘Tesla bat sutan’ with Gorka Urbizu, “Ardi Latxen Herrian” with Cris Lizarraga de Belako, “ALMAR” with Sandra de Delaporte and “Nadie when I cry” with Hofe. Topics that have achieved wide resonance and have become references for a new generation of listeners.
The initiative is part of the 67th edition of ZINEBIthe Bilbao International Documentary and Short Film Festival, which each year brings together creators from different countries and stands out for its commitment to innovative proposals in short formats, animation and documentaries. With this collaboration, the event reinforces its role as a meeting point for contemporary audiovisual creation.
