The Menorcan Anna Ferrer publishes his new album “PA”after the great success of the singles “Yeri Yeri” and “Los panes los Hijos”. The album appears from the hand of The Castanya.
The artist, from her most versatile side, sings and composes her songs, always inspired by traditional music mixed with suggestive synthesizers. Since his first solo work with “Tel·lúria” (17), Ferrer has had the opportunity to work with other big names on the scene such as Marco Mezquida either Silvia Perez Cruz.
The romances, jotas and boleros that flooded her life have been taking shape throughout her career until she gave birth to her fourth and new work “PA”, which was previewed at the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa, l’Auditori de Barcelona and the Girona Auditorium.
Sharing the stage with Toni Llull (Guitarricadelafuente) and Pol Batlle (Rita Payes), Anna Ferrer allows us to listen, after a long wait, to a dialogue between the creation of bread and music. The album is conceived around this industry and how it has been a central axis within his personal experience.
After four generations of bakers, the artist confesses in “All the doughs”: “You have to let it relax to be able to stretch it,” referring to the bread dough in the form of a metaphor. The theme, which is quite important within this new album, vindicates the mass-body duality as the same matter that broadens the view on the being.
Naturalness is the word that perfectly describes the music that will accompany the artist on this new journey, flowing harmoniously through different points in a very homogeneous way and creating a space where the heart is sincere.
