Melody returns to Benidorm Fest after her “beef” with RTVE

It’s coming, it’s here, Benidorm Fest will be held next week. Therefore, details about the galas are being revealed. There was quite a bit of buzz in the forums about Melody’s absence from the contest, but it has finally been learned that she will be there.

Today it is announced that Melody will perform at the Grand Final on Saturday, February 14 as a guest artist. The decision represents a reconciliation with RTVE, with which Melody ended in a bad way, after her terrible position in the Eurovision Song Contest. The artist got angry because of some jokes from Broncano, and very significantly, then she went to have fun at ‘El Hormiguero’.

Now the hatchet is buried, as Melody joins Chanel, Blanca Paloma and Nebulossa, who were already announced. Thus, RTVE can boast of having all the winners of Benidorm Fest in this key edition, which will not culminate in Eurovision. As you know, RTVE has suspended its participation in Eurovision due to the genocide in Gaza and the irregularities committed by Israel in the contest.

Melody’s decision to perform has been communicated in a promotional video. At the end of it, Melody announces that she is finishing her album and that she will be at Benidorm Fest to “have a good time.” Other performances confirmed for the semifinals are those of Luz Casal and Abraham Mateo.

Although Miranda’s song! and bailamamá continues to be the most listened to song, already with 1.5 million streams, the song that has continued to rise the most in recent days is Kenneth’s. ‘The Eyes Don’t Lie’ is currently the leader in the daily count, also highlighting the rise of ‘Velita’ by Greg Taro.
