Melody claims the transvestites to mimic it: “All my respect”

Since Melody presented ‘that diva’ at Benidorm Fest, which will present again in Basel on May 17, the song has been a usual in the Drag shows around the country. From Shangay magazine they have taken their appointment with Melody in Lisbon to let him know and the Andalusian singer has not hesitated to revindicate the work of all transvestites.

When he took the subject, Melody was already aware of everything, ensuring that he had already seen “by networks that ‘that diva’ has traveled a little …”. Next, he claimed the work of all those who imitate him: «I love that they imitate me, it is a pride, because they are artists who deserve all my respect. I admire them a lot because their work is very sacrificed, and it is a sector that is not as valued, ”he says.

Melody knows perfectly the harsh conditions that many drag artists face, mentioning “the hours that spend the costumes” or “combing the wigs.” It also highlights the “merit” that has to go on stage “as if they were in a stadium to 50,000 people.”

The singer is also fascinated with those transvestites who imitate her in the heart: «Already, when some is dressed as me or speak like me, because there are those who know what I say, I do not even tell you. Is that they mimic until the kicks I give, the helicopter, the way to move my hands … what art, ”he says. And take advantage to laugh a little of everything: “Daughter, when I don’t remember what I do, I call you and that’s it.”
