Megan Thee Stallion, discharged, suffered extreme exhaustion

After Rosalía’s scare, who had to cancel her show in Milan a while after starting because she felt unwell – and admitted that she was suffering from food poisoning -, we have similar news from Megan Thee Stallion.

The rapper had a very similar experience in New York, when this Tuesday she began to feel unwell during her performance in the musical Moulin Rouge! on Broadway. After suddenly falling ill, the artist was forced to stop her performance to be taken to the hospital.

Her spokesperson has vaguely explained what happened, stating that “Megan began to feel very unwell and was rushed to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated.” The representative added that “they will update the information” as soon as they know more details. Therefore, the reasons for his indisposition are unknown for now.

Finally, Megan has been discharged after suffering an “episode of extreme exhaustion”, as well as dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels, requiring immediate medical attention. Fortunately, his condition is not serious and he is expected to make a full recovery. The artist will perform again this Thursday, her team has confirmed.

Megan Thee Stallion debuted on Broadway on March 24 playing the character of Zidler, the master of ceremonies. For the first time, a cis woman plays this male character in the famous musical. The ‘Hot Girl Summer’ rapper will assume this role – which rotates between different actors – until mid-May.

Hailing from Texas, Thee Stallion is one of the notable American rappers of today, especially after the release of her EP ‘Tina Snow’ in 2018. ‘Savage’, the remix of her single with Beyoncé, reached number 1 in the United States, and then Thee Stallion achieved it with ‘WAP’ with Cardi B, and alone with ‘Hiss’, her “diss track” to Nicki Minaj.

Megan Thee Stallion’s life has been marked by several personal misfortunes, such as the loss of her parents, her altercation with rapper Tory Lanez, when he shot her in the foot inside a car, which caused a hugely high-profile legal case, which ended with her sentence to 10 years in prison in 2023.

Since then, Thee Stallion has focused on his musical career, releasing albums such as the recent ‘MEGAN’, re-released with a deluxe version in 2024.
