The large rock groups also have their expiration date, and we do not refer to their success, but to the age. Dave Mustaineleader of Megadethhas launched a statement announcing the farewell of the group.
This year exactly forty years have passed since Megadeth published their first album. It has rained a lot and, along the way, they have become one of the most important bands of the Thrash Metal generation, touring the world several times with its tours and with its performances at festivals.
Now, Dave Mustaine has announced that, at sixty -three years of age, the time has come to say goodbye and leave the name of the group for the memory of fans and fans. To do this, he has released a video on social networks in which we are discovered that next year there will be a final Megadeth album and also a world farewell tour. Mustaine is proud of what is obtained and the fidelity of her fans, but considers that the time has come to say goodbye in good condition and without the band’s name ending up by the passage of time and her own physical conditions.
“We are eager that you listen to our new album and that you see us on tour. Because if there was ever a perfect time to release a new album, it is now. If there was ever a perfect time to go around the world, it is now. That is why it is also the perfect time to announce that this will be our last studio album (…) You are not sad, happy for us, come to celebrate it with us these next years. It happens again.
This farewell work will involve the number seventeen in Megadeth’s trajectory, a trajectory that began in 1985 with the album “Killing is My Business … and Business is Good!”after Mustaine left Metallica. For history there are records like “So far, so good … so What!” (88), “Rust in Peace” (90), “Countdown to extinction” (92), “Dystopia” (16) o “The Sick, The Dying … and the Dead!” (22), among others, in addition to various live albums. The album will see the light in Tradecraft, seal owned by Mustaine himself.
