Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan have been confirmed as protagonists of the tetralogy of The Beatles
The protagonists of the next biopics of Sam Mendes about The Beatles have been revealed in a series of postcards. Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney alongside Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) and Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr). Sam Mendesdirector of “American Beauty”, “Skyfall” and “1917”will tell the group’s story on the big screen. Four films will be made that explain the point of view of each of the members. The tetralogy is currently scheduled to be released simultaneously in April 2028.
Official postcards showing the actors in their respective roles have been discovered by fans in the Liverpool Institute For Performing Arts (LIPA). The institution was co-founded by McCartney in 1996. Actors like David Morrissey, Leanne Best, Bobby Schofield and James Norton They were already announced at the end of last year. Other performers set to appear in the films include Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood and Mia McKenna-Brucewho will respectively give life to Linda McCartney, Yoko Ono, Pattie Boyd and Maureen Starkey.
Earlier this month, Mescal stated that fans would “benefit from knowing as little as possible” about the biopics before watching them. The actor explained that he and his co-stars were “pinching themselves” to be part of the films. Besides, Mescal recently confirmed to Variety that production on the project was still underway: “There’s still quite a bit left to finish; that’s my job for all of 2026.”
