Medal press the metal pedal to the maximum in “BMW 666”

The Barcelonans Medal They step on the metal pedal to the maximum in their new single,”BMW 666″. The group has always shown their love for metal sound, but this time they take it further in their hardest song to date.

“BMW 666” is a title that already leads us to think about the hardest side of Medalla, the most metallic, scratchy and also close to punk. At the moment we do not know if it is just an exclusive song in this line or if his next album – of which no details have been revealed – will go this route.

In “BMW 666” we find the most electric and raw version of the Barcelona quartet, with a sound “straddling heavy metal and knife-edge punk.” After “Duel”a concept album with a sound closer to post-punk with pop touches in the melodies, this new song is an exercise in reinvention for Medalla. A new sound that, however, unabashedly embraces those influences that were already present from the beginning of the group, but that now seem to have emerged in their clearest form.

The single arrives just before the final stretch of concerts where the band has been saying goodbye to their latest album in Madrid (sold out) and Valencia, and very soon in the VOL Room in Barcelona (December 14). The art that accompanies the single is the work of the Madrid artist Tumulus Designwith whom the band had already collaborated in the past and now they forge an even stronger alliance. The video that accompanies the song has been directed by Eric Sueiro and recorded by him and German Blancowho has also taken photographs of the band.
