Massiel talks about his lung cancer

Massiel has reported in Telecinco that he has suffered lung cancer that has been about to cost his life. The artist, who won Eurovision in 1968 with ‘La La La’, and then stood out for other successes such as ‘We will provide for him’, said he is “alive of miracle”.

Massiel explained that doctors could not reach the tumor through the larynx, so they had to do it through the back. To remove cancer, they had to “take” a piece of the lung. “Chemo leaves you shit and that’s when the ordeal begins,” he said. The ‘Friday’ program is broadcast today, but before a part has been advanced during ‘afternoon’, the program presented by Ana Rosa Quintana and now drives Verónica Dulanto and Frank Blanco.

The country recalls that Massiel already had health problems a few years ago when he faced a degenerative ocular disease. “Others die of cancer and I am being blind. It is hard. It has no cure, ”he said in 2018.
