Marina anticipates a “very fun” album

Four years after her last album, ‘Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land’, Marina gave an interview to Plastik Magazine. Although the interview has not been fully disclosed, we can read a part of it online, and in it the artist defines what the next album she has been working on for 2 years sounds like.

He compares it to his classic ‘Electra Heart’, which contained his big hits ‘Bubblegum Bitch’ and ‘Primadonna’, as follows: “‘Electra Heart’ was the original era villain. Maybe. “My next album is very playful and has a concept driven by a main character, but not in the same sense as ‘Electra Heart’.”

He continues: «It felt very heavy for me to have to commit to a character for 2 years, it’s not where I am right now. I like freedom and experimentation. This next era is a lot of fun. “It has a special energy.”

In these 4 years, Marina has not given herself anything: her last single uploaded to her profile on streaming platforms is ‘Happy Loner’ from the aforementioned 2021 album. Since then, no remixes, no collaborations. Nothing.
