Mariah Carey brings back ‘We Belong Together’ for the AMAs

Tonight there was a special 50th anniversary gala for the American Music Awards, where people like Stray Kids and Smokey Robinson performed. The main protagonist has been Mariah Carey, who after a few lines from ‘Don’t Forget About Us’, has performed her great hit from the 2000s ‘We Belong Together’ in front of a giant M.

The performance was very simple, leaving all the prominence to the song, which several young people in the audience chanted from song to song. Mariah has not disappointed in her vocal performance, including the final scream.

‘The Emantipation of Mimi’, which was her great comeback, will turn 20 years old in April 2025 and Mariah Carey has also spoken to Billboard about how ‘We Belong Together’ ended up being considered the great hit of the 2000s in the United States.

On the other hand, Mariah Carey’s favorite moment of the year is approaching: the one when ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ returns to the charts… although it hasn’t arrived yet. Patiently, a few days ago he posted on social media: NOT YET.
