Marc Lloret dies from Mishima at age 51

Mishima has communicated death, this Sunday, February 2, by Marc Lloret, keyboardist of the band and one of its founding members, at 51 years of age. Lloret suffered a lung cancer that had been diagnosed in 2022.

“Our partner Marc Lloret, our friend of the soul, our older brother, a magnificent musician, an exemplary person, with whom we undertook the adventure of Mishima, has died this afternoon,” he said the Catalan formation. «We cry with his wife and his children, parents and family, with his friends and acquaintances. Rest in peace, dear our friend. Forever you will be in the deepest of our hearts. Thanks for music. Thanks for life ».

Lloret, after his first musical incursions into projects such as Orange or Happiness Blanch, founded Mishima in 1999 with David Carabén and Christian Aloy, and his role to the keyboard was key in the creation of the melodic and sophisticated sound of the band. ‘L’igua Clara’, Mishima’s last album, was published in 2022. Lloret had been replaced by Bernat Sánchez in the directs of Mishima while removing discharge.

In addition to music, Lloret dedicated himself to cultural management, and highlighted as director of the Viva Music Mercat, which he directed 14 editions.
