The Getxotarra quintet Marban He has been the protagonist of the last appointment of the initiative Galeashowroom In the mythical Furniture Showroom Sofas Galea (Getxo).

The band is currently for the recent release of “I’m not marble”an EP that brings together an exquisite selection of songs from “Marble”his first album published a year ago, revised with Mcenroe, Rufus T. Firefly, the well -dear, Vicente Calderón and Jimena Lezón. Precisely three of the songs of that last album of the band, “statue”, “snake” and “a dagger”, are those that have been immortalized in the video you can see at the bottom. The group of Javier Heppe (drums), Alex Briegas (guitars), Álvaro Martínez (synthesizers), Miguel Flores (bassist) and Guillermo Marban (guitar and voice) is a beautiful rare avis in the state independent panorama, a band without a purpose beyond transforming their artistic, romantic and political concerns into urgent and melancholic pop.
The project Galeashowroom Born from unconditional passion for the music of those responsible for Galea bed sofasthe first store in the Basque Country (active since 1968) dedicated to the sale of sofas, sofas bed, auxiliary furniture and lighting. After occasionally organizing concerts in their facilities among friends, they decided to take the step and document these musical parties. The main feature is that guests do not know who will act until the last moment, which they call a “Secret Show”. They record and edit the live concerts that are held in their mythical Sofas Galea Furniture Showroom, in summary, it is like their small tribute to the improvised concerts in the Hall of Casa surrounded by friends. Thanks to these recordings, the bands have the recording of several of their live songs with high quality sound and images.
The cycle premiered with MCENROE with Jimena (his daughter) For the 20th anniversary of the band at Christmas of 2022, and continued in February 2023 with the performance of the Malaga band based in Getxo Laguna Goons, last spring with the mythical Getxotarra band The communist tenant, and the Gernikarras Audienceother classics of the Basque scene. The fifth edition took place last summer with the performance of the Californian band Sonny and the Sunsets, led by the San Francisco musician Sonny Smith.
