Marasme present “Metzina”, the first advance of their new album

The intense Mallorcan band Marasme presents “Metzina”, first advance of your new album, “Fel”. He arrives eight years after his previous album.

“Metzina” is the first advance of “Fel” (2025), the fourth study work of the Mallorquines Marasme, an album that intuits “visceral and distressing, combining noise and fury, hopelessness and survival instinct.” Sludge, post-metal, post-white … all combined in the same universe.

Eight years have passed since their last reference (“Malsons”18), but the band formed by Joan Rigo (voice), Tomeu Canyelles (guitar), Jordi Carrasco (guitar), Timothy Llompart (bass) and David Álvarez ‘Dubi’ (drums) still has things to say and this time it makes him radicalize his bet with a much more intense and dark album. They recognize influences from groups such as Altar of Plague, Harakiri for the Sky, Omega Massif, Fall of Efrafa or Solstafir They are diluted in the blackish magma of five musicians accustomed to rowing in solitude already countercurrent.

“Fel” (“Hiel”) concentrates the most basic ingredients of one of the most personal extreme music bands of the Balearic Islands. Recorded at the beginning of 2024 in Palma under the production of Toni Salvà (Diorama Sound) and mastered in Sweden by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), “Fel” It is a joint edition between the Catalan Macarras Discs, Eternal Juggernaut Records and Nafar Records with Quebranta Records. Its publication is scheduled for June and will include the adaptation of a poem (“larva”) of the Catalan writer Ferran García.
